PETS & FARM PHOTOGRAPHY

Taking pictures of pets and their people has been my passion since I starting photographing in the late 90’s.  I have witnessed, and documented many meaningful interactions.   There are some images that I have taken that especially stand out for me.  A few favorites from over the years were a huge horse gently nuzzling his boy, and  powerful dog keeping keeping watch over his baby in a field over beautiful daffodils.   I also love getting the action shots that showcase the animal’s personality.  A horse in a full gallop…ears forward and nostrils flaring …is such a breathtaking sight! 

When I photograph animals, my prior experience in dog training, animal behavior and farm work is invaluable.  I know exactly what makes for a compelling photograph, and how to elicit that behavior so that it shines through in an image..
